The 2009 Federal Budget has seen the halving of concessional
and transitional contribution cap provisions. Non concessional
limits remain unaltered. Transition to Retirement strategies
continue to enjoy investment income but reduced taxable
income substitution advantages. Minimum drawdown relief
continues for a further year. A portability scheme has been
agreed in principle with NZ. The Age Pension system has
seen significant changes to age, rate, indexation and work
